Welcome
The
Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) is
the only society in Texas whose voice speaks for all
branches of engineering - the only active,
established organization devoting its entire effort
to the professional, ethical, economic, social and
political aspects of engineering.
The Travis Chapter
is in TSPE Region III and includes all of the Austin
regional area, from Waco to San Marcos and
Fredricksburg. We meet the second Wednesday of each month from September through May at Green Pastures Restaurant, 811 W. Live Oak Street. The Chapter also hosts a variety of other programs and social events throughout the year. Please explore our website and learn more.
TSPE is the Texas arm of the National Society of
Professional Engineers (NSPE). Founded in 1934, NSPE
strengthens the engineering profession by promoting
engineering licensure and ethics, enhancing the
engineer image, advocating and protecting PEs' legal
rights at the national and state levels, publishing
news of the profession, providing continuing
education opportunities, and much more.
CELEBRATE TRAVIS CHAPTER
You are cordially invited to “Celebrate Travis Chapter” on Thursday, May 22, at Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill in downtown Austin.
The past year has been an exciting and record-breaking time for the Travis Chapter of TSPE, but the best is yet to come! Please join us as we recognize the contributions of our outgoing officers and welcome the next group of Chapter leaders. The celebration includes a delicious four-course meal in a beautifully restored building dating from the 1850’s.
The evening’s events will also feature an Order of the Engineer Ring Ceremony. During the ceremony (which is open to all members), engineers obligate themselves to serving the public through their engineering talents and education. The Order serves to encourage a spirit of pride in the engineering profession and to present to others a visible symbol identifying engineers. Please fill out the registration form and fax to Claire Black at 512.472.2934 for the ceremony. (NOTE: Registration for the Ring Ceremony is separate from the Celebrate Travis Chapter RSVP.)
